Rintoul Wins Again!

Rintoul Wins Again!

John Rintoul successfully retained his “King of the Kingdom” title at the 2015 Kingdom Stages, held by Glenrothes MSC at Crail.  Navigated by Ross Hynd, John steered his Hyundai Accent WRC to first place, beating Bruce Edwards and Jim Smith in their Darrian by just over a minute.  Gary and Gordon Adam in their Escort took third spot, just 15 seconds further back.

Damp conditions in the morning led to drier surfaces later on, as 100 crews competed over 60 miles of airfield stages.  The event was the final round of the STRC Championship, with John Marshall confirmed as the winning driver.
Glenrothes MSC would like to thank all the competitors for their support and congratulate all the successful crews.  We would also like to thank the 100+ officials and marshals who assisted in the set up and running of the event, a fantastic team performance in conditions that were not always ideal!
The club intends to run two events at Crail again in 2016, but our next event will be the Aquarius Rally on 23rd January.
