Scottish Car Show

Scottish Car Show

A great job was done coordinating this event.

All of the drivers were very enthusiastic which made it the more enjoyable for the passengers.

The rear wheel drive cars were the most spectacular for the large crowds and the most in demand for the passenger rides.

During the day a few cars had mechanical gremlins but they all survived the day.

The 2 GMSC club cars ran virtually non stop all day,a real test for the cars which were destined for the scrapyard.

Brake failure caused the demise of the Ford Ka towards the end and the Fiesta’s gear linkage broke, cable ties were utilised, the gearbox was locked in 1st gear and used for the rest of the day like that.

The aim of the event was to introduce grass roots motorsport to the public, I feel we have achieved this and we have 10 people signed up for the Autotest training day who hopefully will become Car club members and competitors.
