Lock Horsburgh
We are extremely sorry to announce that one of our long standing members, Lock Horsburgh, passed away very suddenly on Monday, our thoughts are with Maureen, Lockhart, Michael, Craig and Katy at this difficult time.
Lock joined GMSC in their early years and performed many roles within the club as well as competing in various Minis and Novas, he was also the Secretary for the Scottish Association of Motor Sport Clubs and a Motorsport UK representative.
He was also a very keen and competent marshal who had a very welcoming manner, encouraging new marshals along to many wet and windy rallies. If you wanted to know anything about computers, Lock was your man, although when he started talking about the technology side you would be left baffled by science.
Lock’s last event was the Mull Rally just over a week ago, and he was his usual bubbly, enthusiastic character we all knew, in fact I was speaking to him in Tobermory and his comment to me was (ye ken this is the best ave felt in the last 20 years).
He will be sadly missed, we will keep you informed about the funeral arrangements.
Thanks
Bill Creevy
